What’s your fridge freezer doing?
These are the fridge freezer faults we fix most often across London — many can be diagnosed and repaired in a single visit.
Freezer Over-Icing
Heavy ice build-up in the freezer compartment, reducing airflow and storage space.
Fridge Too Warm
The fridge section warms up while the freezer appears fine, often linked to airflow blockages or fan faults.
Water or Ice Leaks
Water pooling inside the fridge, under the drawers or on the floor, usually due to blocked drainage or defrost issues.
Loud or Unusual Noises
Buzzing, vibrating or clicking sounds that point towards a faulty fan, compressor or motor.
Complete Loss of Cooling
Both compartments stop cooling entirely, requiring immediate diagnosis to prevent food loss.

“Excellent and very courteous Service polite and Jason explained what the issue was and how to fix it and has left me with instructions to defrost a fridge freezer for 48 hours which I will do and I’m really happy with the results.”
Google
“A little more expensive than similar repair companies, but well worth it! No BS, just get the job done, sorted my dishwasher within 20 minutes. 100% recommended. 5 star!”
Google
“This is the second time I have asked Alpha Appliances to repair an appliance, and as before, they attended very promptly and at an agreed time. The engineer was able to diagnose the fault and a quote for repair was emailed in a few days. It took about a week to source the parts required and then another day or two before the engineer came to fit them. I was impressed with the service, advice and communication with this company and will definitely use them again when another appliance fails to operate. Absolutely 5 star!”

“Needed someone to fix our Miele coffee machine at home. These guys turned up on time and offered an efficient service. Nice to find someone who gets the job done. Would recommend to others.”
